The nursery doesn’t have a lot of olives hanging on the trees since most are pretty young but here are some photos of this year’s olives both on and off trees.

2 gallon trees loaded up for direct delivery today to Hope Bay, Pender Island (about a 20 minute boat ride from Winter Cove, Saturna Island).
Many of the more mature one gallon trees need to be potted up to larger pots before winter sets in but there’s still an opportunity for another week or so to buy these well-established one gallon trees at the one gallon price—available varieties still in one gallon pots include Nocellara, Cerignola, Taggiasca and Maurino. If you live near Victoria I will deliver in the next two weeks.
I’ve been getting a few emails lately asking if there are still trees available this year…yes! We haven’t run out of trees but the inventory does fluctuate. Right now, after potting up a lot of one gallons to two gallons we are short on most sizes but there are still trees ready for sale. You can figure out what’s available by just going to the online shop or emailing us at info@olivetrees.ca
As for delivery, if you live near Victoria or Vancouver, we can probably work out some arrangement to get the trees over to you. Or if you are on Saturna then no problem!

I’ll be in Vancouver distributing trees on June 11. I’ll send exact details of how to pick up trees to existing customers but for anyone in Greater Vancouver thinking about purchasing trees this is a good opportunity to get your trees during this optimal planting period of June to July.
For existing customers in Victoria, Vancouver Island and all the Gulf Islands, I’ll start distributing your trees following the May long weekend. I’ll be in Victoria on the Tuesday or Wednesday following Victoria Day and then be up in Nanaimo and Comox valley area after that. I’ll firm up dates and actual rendezvous logistics with existing customers by personal email.
For customers in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, I hope to distribute your trees on the last weekend in May but I’ll confirm that by next week.
Finally, if you’re thinking about buying trees, now would be a good time to do so. Orders made after the long weekend will have a delivery charge added (actual amount depends on location and timing with other deliveries).
Now that I’ve restored the menu sidebar (!!!), navigating the olivetrees.ca website should be a little easier than it has been for a while. The missing sidebar may have been an unmentioned new feature of the latest WordPress upgrade or it may have been an inadvertent late night uncheck of a checkbox by an unpaid webmaster. In any case, sidebar menus are resurrected just in time for Easter Sunday.
And because it is Easter (and because posts about technical difficulties are boring), I should post some sort of olive/Easter related photo but I seem to be lacking photos in that category. So how about a photo of olives that look vaguely like black easter eggs hanging from a tree. Ok, maybe not, but here’s a nice photo of Leccino olives anyway:
