So far our winter here in the Southern Gulf Islands has brought above average precipitation but also above average temperatures that have only flirted with below freezing temperatures . Trees overwintering in the nursery seem to have entered their typical winter semi-dormant state where new growth has all but stopped. This is good since despite an unusually warm January, a weak La Ni\u00f1a winter typically brings arctic outflow conditions in February. Last February had extended extreme freezing all around the South Coast.<\/p>\n
During January and February we will make sales and delivery to Greater Victoria and the Southern Gulf islands. Sales\/deliveries to locations on the lower mainland and the rest of Vancouver Island will resume sometime in March.\nCurrently we have one, two and a few three gallon pot sized trees available. Pricing depends on each tree’s age and canopy development. Pricing is typically: 1 gal $65-75, 2 gal $80-95 and 3 gal $120-175. Some of the varietals available are Frantoio, Favarol, Cipressino, Premier, and Itrana.<\/p>\n
